The Airbus A320-200 with registration D-AIPW and Manufacturer's Serial Number (MSN) 137 was delivered to Lufthansa, Germany's largest airline, in December 1990. Under the christening name "Schwerin" and with 156 seats, the aircraft flew to international destinations such as Palma, London and Porto. In April 2015, the low-cost carrier Germanwings took over the aircraft and increased the passenger volume to 174 seats. One year before Germanwings ceased flight operations in 2020, D-AIPW was already retired and parked in Oostende/Bruges and later recycled.

With this edition, we have succeeded in squaring the circle: an officially licensed edition of an airline that no longer exists.
